Frequently Asked Questions:

1.   What time do the rentals need to be back?       Your rental time is based on 2, 4 or 8 hour days.   All rentals must be back by 6:00 p.m. except multi-day rentals.

2.   If I rent for several days can I keep the boat at my dock?       Multi-day rentals can keep the rented boat at their place if the necessary criteria is met; we need to know the exact address and dock location.   A signed overnight agreement from renter promising to have the boat properly docked for the night by 6:30 a.m.   You can not take these rentals out at night.   Insurance will not apply and there are special rules for night boating on the lake.

3.   Can I pull a tube or skier?     Yes on our large pontoon's ski boats and deck boat.   You can not pull a tube on a pontoon or boat with low power.

4.   Do the boats come filled, and how much gas will I use?   Our boats are new models and have efficient engines.   The pontoons can be very efficient depending on what you are doing.   If you are pulling a tube or skier you will use more gas.   If you pack the boat to capacity or have lots of gear, this will effect your gas usage (just like your car).     If you drive full throttle on any boat for long periods of time you will use more gas.   You get your boat filled up at the time of departure and we will fill it up when you return.   We try to keep our gas as reasonably priced as we can.   Gas on the water runs slightly higher than the street.   However when gas prices change daily it is hard to predict in the future what you will pay.   Most of the boats can go all day without a refill.   You can always call a few days before your reservation to see what the price of gas is.

5.   How old do I have to be to drive a boat or Waverunner?   The state of Missouri requires that all people born after January 1, 1984 must have a Boaters Safety Card, either from the State of Missouri or their own state.   Guests that live outside of Missouri can take an open book test for $10.   This money provides them with a 30 temporary Boating card.   Missouri residents can take a course or take the test on line.     To rent a boat you must be over 21 and have a security deposit.

6.   What is the cancellation policy?   If you cancel within 30 days of the reservation your deposit will be returned.   If it is less that 30 days we will return the deposit if we fill the reservation.   The more notice you give us the better the chances are that we will refill that time slot.   You may check back the day after your reservation to see if it was filled.   Credit cards will be refunded on the card, cash and checks will be sent out as a check.   If the weather is really bad we do not expect you to go out.   We don't want our boats out in storms.   However, all summer we have brief morning or afternoon showers.   If it is scheduled to be a rainout that day we will reschedule you or give your a refund.   If it's cloudy and just has a threat of shower's the boats go out.     We want you to have a good time and will work hard at helping you get out on the water.

7.   What happens if we damage the boat?   You will pay   a security deposit at the time of rental.   All boats are checked out and signed by the customer and the dock person sending your out.   The boat will then be checked upon return.   If damage is found, you will be required to pay it immediately.   Sometimes damage is difficult to see, if you run over something or hit the prop.   If this is the case the boat will have to be taken out of the water for review and you will be notified.     THE GOOD NEWS IS - IF YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE WATER RULES, TO OUR RULES AND TO YOUR PARTY, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.   The biggest problem is when guests take the rentals to other docks (restaurants, bars, etc.)   and leave our ropes and fenders (bumpers) behind.   You will be responsible for these items, so you check it before you leave.   PEOPLE THAT PAY ATTENTION AND HAVE A DESIGNATED DRIVER RARELY HAVE PROBLEMS.

8.   Can I pay cash for my rental.     Yes but you would have to have a $500 security deposit or a credit card to hold the $500 deposit.

9.   If I do multi-day rentals does it have to be with just one boat or can I mix it up.     Yes you can rent a tritoon or pontoon boat for a day or two and then rent a ski boat or deck boat for the rest of your time.   If you are renting for 3 days you get the 4th day free.   The free rental will be on the least expensive boat.   If you want more days we will give you a 10% discount on any days after the 4th day.   If you can rent 8 days you would get 2 days free.
